- Who uses Kyowa’s measurement devices?
- Kyowa's contact angle and surface tension meters aid research and quality control in food, commodities, housing, car and medical industries. Our tools are used at most of the Japanese manufacturers you’ve heard of.
Kyowa tools have been used for the measurement of water repellency, hydrophilic properties, applications and peeling, and examination of pollution and before washing, just to name a few.
- Will it be easy for me to order replacement supplies for Kyowa devices?
- We deliver most replacement supplies within Japan in about a week, but you may experience slight delays during high-volume or holiday periods (including New Years and the Japanese Obon Festival).
Shipping times outside of Japan are generally longer and vary from country to country, so please leave plenty of time for your order to arrive, and ask for a shipping time estimate when you place your order.
If you have an especially urgent request, please let us know and we will make every effort to meet your delivery date.
- How do I receive support? Do you do repairs?
- Please call our sales department for full product support.
Repairs are fulfilled at our headquarters by our dedicated technicians. Please contact us before you send the device; we will send packaging for you to safely send the device back to us.
- Is it possible to use Kyowa products outside of Japan?
- Our products are available in China, Taiwan and Korea via our distribution partners, and we have sold our products to local organizations and Japanese businesses in other countries as well. Some of our products require adaptations for overseas use, and other products cannot be used abroad. Please call for details about specific products.
Please order replacement supplies as soon as possible, since international shipping takes longer than domestic Japanese delivery.

- Is it possible to purchase replacement supplies for an old device?
- We consider the compatibility of replacement supplies as much as possible when changing a model.
For instance, the syringe and the dispenser for the Contact Angle Meter and the platinum plate for the Surface tensiomer have been compatible for over 20 years. There are however some replacement supplies for discontinued special product lines which we can not supply. Please contact us for more information.
- Is asbestos used for products?
- No asbestos is used in Kyowa products. We use ceramic paper, ceramic board and glass fiber with silica binder for insulation of our optional heaters.
